Speakeasy meets Dick Dale in this awesome, raucous Spaghetti Western Swing.
King Dinosaur are an exciting, 5 piece band. They play fun, high energy, original tunes to dance to and have been ripping up the south west scene with sell out gigs in some of the area’s best venues and festivals.
They brought the house down at Tropical Pressure this year, so we are delighted to be welcoming them to the Eco Park to launch their album Walking Dancing Dying, which was recorded on 24 track tape and mastered to vinyl so fully analogue.
The music defies genre and the influences are as diverse as jazz, Latin, mariachi, eastern European folk and swing. Melt that lot together, add a little spice, and you have their unique sound that they like to call ‘Spaghetti Western Swing’.
The Roustabouts Collective offer a musical experience that will amuse, bemuse and amaze; performing a theatrical mixture of gypsy, balkan, folk, dance and swing influenced original songs and arrangements.
Expect rich harmonies, fast-paced strumming, groovy bass lines, banging beats, virtuoso fiddle work, a bombastic trombone, hair raising electric solos and a big slice of circus-eque merriment to top it all off!
