About Julie
Although yoga was present in my life even as a child, I discovered its real physical and psychological benefits whilst recovering from a car accident sixteen years ago. I started practising in earnest and it rapidly became an integral part of my life.
I have trained with a range of teachers and this is reflected in my teaching, which embraces a holistic approach to yoga. Having had several frustrating injuries myself, I encourage people to challenge themselves whilst still honouring their bodies.
I enjoy using a range of yogic tools in my classes to create a warm, safe and personal atmosphere, which is inclusive of all levels of ability and experience, whilst delivering flowing, challenging and uplifting sessions.
I have a holistic approach to body, mind and spirit and include yoga philosophy in my lessons to accompany both physical and mental transformation.
I started teaching in 2013 after graduating from The Devon School of Yoga and went on to study yoga therapy there where I specialised in Yoga for anxiety, stress, depression and trauma. This led me to train in David Berceli’s amazing TRE : trauma and tensions release exercises.
The magic of Yoga and its ability to transform us never cease to amaze me.
