This is an exciting follow-up workshop available for those people who have done the Puppet and the Player Workshop and who would like to deepen their performance potential in collaboration with puppets.
In this second, day-long workshop we will be:
- Refining the focus and inner visualisation to help project the life and will of the puppet.
- Furthering the search for puppet characterisation through voice work and the nuance of gestures.
- Exploring the ability of the puppet to interact with the puppeteer/performer simultaneously.
- Defining the role of the puppet as storyteller/narrator.
- Delving into object-based puppetry and ‘outsider’ puppets that inhabit the fringes of puppet society.
Please note: this workshop is only open to people over 16yrs. No theatre experience is necessary, but a curiosity about puppets and a willingness to play are required!
